SUMMARY: At master’s institutions, the strategic use of funds to support graduate student education is crucial. With finite resources and a desire to distinguish their graduate programs from those at peer institutions, graduate schools administrators must consider how to best direct funds to promote institutional goals. The Council presents findings from six institutions about each allocates funding, to which programs funding is allocated, and what types of graduate appointments align most closely with institutional priorities.
