The University of Kentucky Student Government Association is now accepting applications for president and vice president, college senators and senators-at-large for the 2013-14 academic year. Applications are available at uksga.org/spplications/elections. 

May graduates may now apply to be the speaker at the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 5th.

Environmental studies is no longer for just chemistry lovers.

University of Kentucky students will have the opportunity to meet with more than 120 employers at the Spring 2013 Employer Showcase sponsored by the UK James W. Stuckert Career Center. The showcase will bring employers in both technical and non-technical professions to campus from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 12 and 13, to the UK Student Center Ballrooms.

The University of Kentucky Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence is giving first-year students an opportunity to learn about educational programs at UK at a special event next week. Read the full story.

Top high school seniors from across the state gathered at the University of Kentucky just before the holidays for the annual Governor’s Scholars Program/Governor’s School for the Arts Day. 
 
More than 400 students attended. The event gives high school students who spent the past summer at GSP or GSA the chance to reunite with friends while learning how UK can help them achieve their goals for the future. 
 

Future wildcats who want to take advanatage of the opportunities scholarships bring need to finish their applications!  The deadline to apply for competitive scholarships is Tuesday, Jan. 15.
