Finals for the Fall 2012 term begin on Monday, and if you are getting stressed - don't! Several campus events will be happening this week to help you relax and prepare for the last stretch of this semester including: how to get home for the holidays, campus closing and opening dates, activities to get you through finals and of course, graduation information!
December 3rd – 7th
8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Week B4 Finals
Week B4 Finals activities will be held in the VIP Center, located on the lower level of Frazee Hall, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. All students are welcome to participate in activities, which will include games, movies, coloring and crafts. Students will also get the opportunity to personalize gift-wrapping paper, which will be used to wrap gifts to children at the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program. Free food will also be provided throughout the day.
December 6th
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Furry Friends
Head to Commons 308 A&B to relax and play with dogs from the Lexington Humane Society. University Health Service is hosting the event, which includes playing with dogs from the Lexington Humane Society, with the intent of helping students who are working toward the upcoming finals week to relax.
7:30 p.m. Karaoke Night
The holiday season wouldn’t be the same without a little music. Get in the spirit with Karaoke in the Cats Den. This is a free event sponsored by the Student Activities Board Pop Culture Committee.
5 – 9 p.m. Winter Frost
Before or after you attend Karaoke Night, stop by Commons for the Winter Frost dining event – all you can eat buffet of holiday favorites. Admission is $8 for faculty, staff, and spouses and $5 for kids who are 10-years-old and younger. Payment methods include Dining Plans, Flex Dollars, Plus Account, cash and credit.
December 10th
Crunch Brunch 2012! Come to Memorial Coliseum, 9 - midnight as the tradition continues with free five minute massages, free food & shirts.
December 11th – 14th
The free shuttle to the airport for those who need to fly home for the holidays will operate with daily campus pick-up times of 6 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Students should plan to leave campus at least two hours prior to their scheduled flight departure.
To schedule a pick-up, email the following information with the subject “Winter Break Shuttle” to ukparking@lsv.uky.edu at least two business days in advance:

Dec. 10th- 14th
Students leave on day of thier last final except Roselle Hall, Smith Hall, and Kirwan Tower which will stay open the entire academic year. If you have questions about leaving for break, ask your RA or Hall Director for more information.
Dec. 14th
PTS shuttles to various cities leave on this day and will return on January 6th. For more information about tickets, times and shuttle destinations, visit the PTS website.

The 2012 December Commencement Ceremonies will take place at Memorial Coliseum.
Friday, Dec. 14, 2012
Undergraduate ceremony at 6 p.m. The graduate and professional student ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m.
