The UK RTC has developed several partnerships with several environmental and health related agencies in the state of Kentucky. These are summarized below:

The Kentucky Cabinet for Energy and Environment

Since 2012, the UK RTC has been sponsoring a seminar series in Frankfort, Kentucky through a partnership with the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet. The topics for the series have been developed in consultation with state personnel and the speakers have been drawn from national experts and trainees and investigators from the UK SRC as well as other SRP centers from across the country.

The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) is home to most of the state's human services and health care programs, including Medicaid, the Department for Community Based Services and the Department for Public Health. The UK RTC worked with the KY CHFS to develop a series of workshops for Kentucky Health Departments that will provide information about exposure, toxicity, and nutritional strategies in support of communities impacted by Superfund chemicals. Biomedical researchers associated with the UK SRC are currently engaged in research that directly addressed some of the major health concerns outlined in the KY Health Now Strategic Plan.
