PTS Offering Saturday Office Hours Jan. 7, 14

As the start of the spring semester approaches and students return to Lexington, Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will offer special Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Saturday, Jan. 14 to accommodate students who wish to obtain a bicycle permit, purchase a motor vehicle parking permit or ask questions.

The PTS office is located in the Press Avenue Garage (PS #6), found at 721 Press Avenue.

As a reminder, permits are required in the K areas beginning on the first day of classes, Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Wildcat Wheels Spring Semester Bike Lottery Now Open

The Wildcat Wheels Bicycle Library spring semester bicycle lottery is now open. Wildcat Wheels has a fleet of 100 bicycles that can be checked out for a full semester at a time; the service is free for members of the campus community. Since demand for these bikes often exceeds supply, the bikes are awarded through a random lottery.

To enter the lottery, visit The deadline to sign up is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Wildcat Wheels – located in the basement of Blazer Dining – provides free bicycle use and repair assistance to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Kentucky. This program is funded by Parking and Transportation Services and managed by UK Sustainability.
