EAG - IRIS Business Intelligence (BI)
The Business Intelligence service is defined as collection, storage, and delivery of University data with the goal of delivering timely and accurate data, information, analytics and alerts to University decision makers.
Relation to UK and/or UKIT Strategic Plan and/or Goals:
The business intelligence service supports student retention efforts by leveraging a data warehousing and analytical tools to help identify at-risk students.
Using technologies, processes, and applications, Business Intelligence analyzes mostly internal, structured data and business processes stored in data warehouses, operational databases and/or ERP systems (i.e. SAP ®) and transforms it into attractive and easy to understand dashboards and reports to empower users to make effective, informed decisions thus providing timely, data-driven answers to their business questions.
