The EDUCAUSE & Internet2 Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC) is conducting a contest in search of short information security awareness videos and posters developed by college students for college students. This fall, more than 850 students in three introductory level courses received free textbooks thanks to UK's participation in a multi-institution digital textbook pilot study designed by EDUCAUSE and Internet2 (I2). The pilot, which uses textbooks published by McGraw-Hill and viewed using CourseLoad, a collaborative, multi-platform compatible e-reader, was sponsored by the Office of the Provost and is being conducted by UKIT in partnership with the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching and the UK Libraries.

UKPR saw UKIT’s internal and external newsletter formats and requested enhanced header and footer templates for UKNow emails, the President’s email announcements and Campus News General Announcements.
There are some common myths that may influence your online security practices. Knowing the truth will allow you to make better decisions about how to protect yourself.

As with any myth, they are passed from one individual to another, usually because they seem legitimate enough to be true.
