Leadership Council

Women And Philanthropy membersThe Women & Philanthropy program is led by a Leadership Council comprised of 32 women who will guide and foster this important new initiative.

The Membership/Philanthropy Committee portion of the Council will cultivate, solicit and recognize donors. The Program Committee will initiate and plan special events showcasing areas of interest to women, such as the annual symposia, campus events, and student activities.

Leadership Council members serve a three–year term for up to two terms, and may choose to remain in service to Women & Philanthropy indefinitely, as long as membership requirements are met:

  • Demonstrate philanthropic leadership through major gifts to the University, as well as making a $1,000 annual gift to support the strategies of the Leadership Council for each year of service on the Council (previous major gifts to UK are considered in inviting women to become members of the Leadership Council)
  • Be a leader in shaping and developing Women & Philanthropy
  • Create a culture of service and philanthropy
  • Serve at least a two–year term on either the Membership or Program committee
