L'aggettivo
"buono"
(The Adjective Buono)
Introduction. You will recall that in Italian, adjectives
most often follow their nouns.
However, common adjectives that describe beauty, age, goodness, and
size, or their opposites, can precede the noun.
Buono is one of
the adjectives that can have two positions in the sentence. The following forms of buono
are used before nouns. For reasons of pronunciation, these forms are
related to the indefinite article:
singolare:
buon, buono, buona, buon'
plurale: buoni, buone
I.
Esercizio: Insert the correct form of buono before these nouns.
(Hint: Don't worry about the
ending of the article, look at the ending of buono and the beginning of
the noun.)
singolare: un____
amico una_______
amica
un____ dottore un____ ristorante una___
professoressa
un____ studente un ___ film (m.)
plurale:____

follows a noun, it has only four forms: buono, buona, buoni,
buone. These forms are also used
when buono follows the verb essere.
