- Why does Freud believe that "repressed infantile sexual wishes" are the strongest
motivation behind dreams and their primary content? Does he provide convincing
evidence for this belief?
- How might a dream express erotic wishes and at the same time appear innocent
of sexual content? What might cause this apparent contradiction?
- How does Freud define symbols as they appear in dreams? What examples does he provide?

- Read Jung, "The Importance of Dreams" (CP 21-26). Then in 1-2 paragraphs, discuss 1

- How does Jung define a symbol? Why does he believe that people need to use symbols
