Offers a clear and concise presentation of Jung's life and work, and the theories of the collective unconscious and archetypal personality patterns that have become fundamental to our basic understanding of behavior. This primer covers everything from Jung's beliefs on the basic structure of the personality to his controversial ideas on the psychological relevance of occultism, alchemy, and extrasensory perception.

The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge. By Carlos Castaneda. Washington Square Press, 1998. The first book in Carlos Castaneda's fascinating saga detailing his spiritual journey toward knowledge and enlightenment via the Yaqui sorcerer, Don Juan. This classic book is an fascinating work of wisdom, mystery, and magic, and an intriguing look at how peyote and other plants sacred to the Yaqui Indians were used as gateways to the mysteries of "clarity" and "power."

Contemporary Magick and Witchcraft. Edited by Anthony Ubelhor. This essential packet contains most of the essays we will be reading this semester. Available at Johnny Print, 547 S. Limestone St.
