The University of Kentucky has begun the search process for a new Provost. The Provost serves as the chief academic officer of the University, supervising the work of UK’s 16 colleges, its comprehensive library system, the Graduate School, academic support units and Student Affairs, among other responsibilities. The Provost also works closely with the President in developing and promoting the institution’s academic priorities. The University of Kentucky is among a handful of public research universities in the country that have the full range of academic offerings, from agriculture to medicine and from engineering to fine arts, on one contiguous campus.
