Republica, Romeo rock on CDs, while Issak is mellow diversion
return
by Matthew Morgan Republica (self-titled) This is the first release from this English band, and, after listening to this CD, I don't think it will be their last. There is alternative mixed with a little techno, and the combination seems to work out nicely on their debut. From track one all the way to the end, this band doesn't come up for air. With catchy dance tunes like Ready To Go and Drop Dead Gorgeous, you find yourself wanting to get up and dance for no reason. So if you're into alternative rock and techno, this CD is perfect for a party or even a rave. Chris Issak--The Baja Sessions Chris Issak fans will enjoy this new release from this California based artist who spent almost three months in Baja, California recording this CD. If you're at home relaxing and taking it easy, this would be the perfect CD for you. With such mellow tracks as Only the Lonely and Somebody's Crying, you will find yourself drifting off somewhere on a beach sipping on some umbrella drinks basking in the sun. Issak also breaks away from the slow songs with fast-paced tunes like Think of Tomorrow. If you like Chris Issak or you just like listening to good old rock-n- roll, you will love Chris Issak's The Baja Sessions. Romeo and Juliet (soundtrack) This CD is really one awesome compilation by some of today's best new and upcoming musicians. This CD is the soundtrack to the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Clare Dannes in the title roles. The music is fantastic and probably one of the best movie soundtracks of the year. With songs by artist such as Garbage, Everclear, The Butthole Surfers and The Cardigans, you won't have any choice but to have a good time while listening to this CD. So if you're in the market for some fresh new music, you may want to go buy this excellent soundtrack.
