Guidelines for the Submission of Case Studies
for the
the new Review of Agricultural Economics


This document outlines guidelines for those who wish to submit proposals for the Case Studies section of the new Review of Agricultural Economics

In developing Case Studies, please consider the following...

1. Case Studies illustrate economic problems identified, analyzed, and solved in a fashion that represents a learning tool for other economists, or in classroom/outreach use by others in solving their problems. Examples could include th decision process within an agribusiness firm in deciding whether to develop a credit subsidiary to aid in product sales; the use of economics to analyze the introduction of a new product by an agribusiness firm in the Pacific rim; a government economists approach to quickly analyzing how a new proposed farm program (e.g. the Freedom to Farm Act) would effect agriculture, consumers, tax payers, and the environment. 2. Case studies should be relatively short and to the point (although there is no specific length limitation) drawing in an instructive fashion on the author's experiences with the respective situations.
