UK bay, established in 2003, is an online classified service.  Our mission is to provide Lexington, KY students from the five local colleges and universities with the opportunity to find local buyers and sellers for their used items and various services.  Our focus is mainly on University of Kentucky students, but we do allow all college students in Lexington to take advantage of our site.  We are a privately owned and operated company with a small, yet very skilled and ambitious team.  The company started out with just a handful of University of Kentucky Decision Science and Information Systems majors who wanted to find a way to utilize their e-commerce knowledge in a way to benefit local students, while making a profit.   The team came to the realization that the one thing college students need most is money, and what better way for them to make money than by selling their old stuff to other college students.  We serve as a low cost median between the two by supplying an easily accessible online classified service.
