Image guided light therapy.
Research Introduction
-

Modeled time-resolved & steady-state light propagation in voxelized 3-D structured biological tissue, and coded as ‘MCVM’. MCVM has been used by more than 40 researchers. Further, Combined MCVM with the high-resolution Visible Chinese human technology and developed a software named as “Acquisition, visualization, and analysis of light transport properties in Visible Chinese Human”. This method has been used in low-level light therapy for stroke and skin lesion detection in my post-doc training.

-

Developed a prototype device of 16-channel functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), including the device design, performance improvement, Phantom experiment, establishing the measurement algorithm, software for signal processing and data analysis, and adding functional software models of psychology experiments. This device has been used by East South University (Top-10 in China) and Tongji Medicine University (Top-2 in China). There are nearly 20 publications on this device. For myself, I have applied it to study verbal working memory and dyslexia.

-

Developed a noninvasive synchronization technology for multi-modal measurement of cognitive brain activity, and then successfully synchronized my fNIRS and commercial event-related potential (ERP) system to study nonselective visual attention and Chinese word – Color stroop effect.
