This is the website for the Proteolysis Lab of the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The lab is headed by Prof. Jan Smalle, and is located in the KTRDC building.
The research carried out in the lab explores the functions of proteasome-dependent proteolysis in the regulation of plant development and stress adaptation. (read more).
Graduate student positions (posted January 2015)
Two graduate student positions are available in the Department of Plant and Soil sciences at the University of Kentucky starting in the fall of 2015 or spring of 2016. One project will investigate the nanoparticle-based isolation and characterization of flavonoids. The second project will focus on the cytokinin response pathway.
