Call for Nominations - 2022 BSG Board Elections The Biogeography Specialty Group of the AAG invites nominations for elected positions to the BSG leadership. Self-nominations are welcome. During this election cycle, we will elect two new board members. Maegen Rochner and Jeremy Johnson are finishing their term as board members. Their departure will open up positions for a new Presentation Competition coordinator and for an Elections Organizer. Additionally, the graduate student representative position is open for nominations. Service as board member is for two years, and the student representative serves for one year. The student representative is eligible to recieve a subsidy to attend AAG, and will be expected to organize a special session, plan a field trip, or another activity approved by the BSG Board. Please submit nominations for these positions via email to Dr. Jeremy Johnson (jeremy.johnson@prescott.edu). Voting will take place between 3 January and 14 February. Election results will be announced at our annual Biogeography Specialty Group board meeting at the 2022 AAG Meeting in New York. |

Call for Judges - Student Paper Competition at 2022 AAG We're looking for judges to evaluate the student paper competition. It is a great way to familiarize yourself with up-and-coming biogeographers, give valuable feedback on their research, and provide a service to the BSG. If you are able to serve as a judge for either competition, please contact Dr. Maegen Rochner (maegen.rochner@louisville.edu). |
