Question 1 (May 1, 2002): I understand that we will have 30 minutes or so to read the exam before the 3-hour writing period commences. May we make notes on the exam during that time?
Response (May 1, 2002): Certainly. You can write on the exam or on scrap paper. Bluebooks will be not be handed out until the beginning of the writing period. In grading the exam, I will not look at anything you wrote during the reading period, either on the exam or on scrap paper.
