Dec 70 - June 74: Executive Officer, Battery C, 5-20 Field Artillery (8" SP), USAR, Pontiac, Michigan (while attending University of Michigan Law School).

Oct 74 - Aug 78: Mobilization Designee, Tactics and Combined Arms Department, US Army Field Artillery School, Ft. Sill (while working for U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.). Completed FA Officer Advanced Course by correspondence.

Aug 78 - May 80: Liaison Officer (also for a period Fire Direction Officer), HQ, 2-138 FA Bn (155mm SP), Kentucky Army National Guard, Lexington, KY (while serving as professor of law, University of Kentucky).

May 80 - July 83: Commander, Battery C, 2-138 Field Artillery (155mm SP), Kentucky Army National Guard, Bardstown, KY.

July 83: Professional move to Washington, D.C. to rejoin U.S. Justice Department for 2 years required me to leave the Kentucky Guard and revert to USAR Control Group. Remained in Control Group following return to Kentucky in 1985 because of the unavailability of FA major slots in the Kentucky Guard.

Aug 83 - July 86: Completed Reserve Component Army Command and General Staff College (50% correspondence/50% active duty).

Feb 88: 2 weeks active duty for training, C-3, Combined Forces Command, Yongsan, Republic of Korea (during the year I was teaching in China).

Jun 89:2 weeks active duty for training, HQ, 1-77 Field Artillery, Fort Knox, KY.

Jun 90: Accepted into Reserve Foreign Area Officer Program (48F).

July 90--Oct 96: Individual Mobilization Augmentee, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans (ODCSOPS), Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
