Lesson One: Can I see the Moon every day and night? Why does it appear to change its shape?

Lesson Description

In this lesson, students listen to the story Many Moons. As a group, they discuss their thoughts on the size, location, and composition of the Moon. Then, they compare their thoughts to what they read in the book. At the end of the lesson, students are introduced to the Moon Journal, where they will make daily observations of the location, appearance, and movements of the Moon for five weeks.
