Edition Search: SGML
Highlight 'SGML' on the toolbar to access the SGML search window.
Click 'Emendations' to open the menu for:
- Emendations
- Early restorations
- Editorial restorations
Emendations are changes or rejections of something that can be clearly seen in the manuscript. Click 'Search' to retrieve a list of all emendations in line context.
Click 'Emendations' then 'Early Restorations'. The next menu says 'Comprehensive'. Click one of the following:
Comprehensive
Counts and provides in-line context of all early restorations.
Source of restoration
Click 'Source of restoration' to access menu:
- Thorkelin A restorations based on the Thorkelin A transcript.
- Thorkelin B restorations based on the Thorkelin B transcript.
- Thorkelin A and B restorations found in both Thorkelin A and B.
- Miscellaneous (the rest) early restorations from other sources.

Editorial restorations are conjectural attempts to recover something lost to the manuscript by some kind of damage.
