The Laboratory of Geometronics(LOG)is a research unit
of the University of Kentucky,College of Agriculture, Department
of Forestry. Faculty, staff members, and graduate students at LOG are
engaged in basic and applied researches in computer aided design and
mapping, digital satellite image analysis, terrestrial and satellite surveys,
spatial statistical analyses, and quantitative forest resources management. LOG operates a GPS base station
named UKCBS. UKCBS data are useful for DGPS applications for a rover
situated with 300 miles from the station location in Lexington, Kentucky.
Additionally, LOG maintains a list of USGS Geodetic Monuments and provides convenient access to a list of Kentucky HARN
Monuments. All of the above data services are public service and provided
free of charge.
