New KGS web page offers links to leasing information
Development of oil and gas resources of the Berea Sandstone and interest in the deep Rogersville Shale have drawn recent news media and public attention.
Property owners approached about leasing their land for access to oil and gas resources in Kentucky may be unfamiliar with the leasing process. The Kentucky Geological Survey has added a web page with a list of useful links to outside sources of information on issues related to leasing.

The links to oil and gas organizations, universities, and other sites provide information on leasing, examples of types of leases, and guidance on negotiating a lease.
