Tobin to serve as a director of the National Speleological Society

Kentucky Geological Survey hydrogeologist Benjamin Tobin was recently elected to serve as a director of the National Speleological Society. He will serve a three-year term as one of 12 directors of the Board of Governors.

Tobin has been a member of the NSS for 20 years and a fellow since 2016, leading and participating in numerous research and exploration projects around the world. He describes NSS as “an organization that shares KGS’s goal to improve our understanding of karst. I am honored to serve as a director of NSS, and this role is a unique opportunity to support the caving community, further karst science, and support the management of karst in the United States.”
