LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2005) -- University of Kentucky today announced that mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, is coming to the University of Kentucky campus next week. The popular network will be here in support of UK fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon and its philanthropic endeavors that support the YouthAIDS Foundation. The fraternity is hosting a “3 on 3” basketball tournament April 10 and 12 with all proceeds benefiting the YouthAIDS organization, which is a global initiative that educates and protects youth around the world from HIV/AIDS .
Tournament play begins at 1 p.m. April 10 in Alumni Gym with the winners advancing to the finals. The “3 on 3” tournament finals will be played April 12 in Memorial Coliseum from 7 to 9 p.m. mtvU will air footage from the final games on April 18 while also sharing the importance of philanthropy.

Cost to attend the tournament finals in Memorial Coliseum is $5 per person at the door. The event is open to the public and will feature giveaways and a concert by DJ $crilla, an up and coming rapper from Kent State University. All proceeds will go to YouthAIDS.
