Designed for the nontraditional student who needs a flexible and broad path to finishing a degree, program requirements can be completed in as little as 2.5 years and will help you develop a breadth of knowledge that reflects a true liberal arts education. By taking an interdisciplinary perspective, you will learn to integrate and synthesize knowledge across disciplinary boundaries and apply that knowledge to a diverse multicultural society. There are two paths to completing the fully online degree:
(i) Full Degree Option: For those who need a completely online experience, the College of Arts & Sciences offers courses for BLS students that you can complete fully online. You can choose to specialize in Humanities, Social Science, or Natural/Physical/Mathematic Sciences and will complete the majority of courses in these respective departments. See 4 Year Plans* below.
(ii) Completer Degree Option: The B.L.S. completer degree is part of Project Graduate, a Kentucky initiative to help adult learners who have completed some college finish their first degree. You would still specialize in one of the tracks mentioned above, and will complete the majority of your courses in the respective department.
