Designed for working medical laboratory technicians (MLT), this accredited online program will prepare you for clinical practice in a variety of medical laboratory settings. Coursework can be completed in as little as one year. Upon graduation from our NAACLS accredited program, you will be qualified to sit for the ASCP board of certification exam at the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) level. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To graduate with Bachelor of Health Sciences with a major in MLS degree, the student must have:
• A total of 120 credits (including 40-48 professional program credits, preprofessional credits,
UK core requirements, and the Graduation Composition and Communication Requirement)
• Graduation requires students to complete an off-line practicum at geographically
convenient location.
The application window for the MLT to MLS Track is JANUARY 1ST - JUNE 1ST.
- Applications packets will be reviewed after the June 1st deadline.
- Qualified applicants may participate in a brief interview by MLS faculty member(s).
