This certificate prepares students for social work practice with individuals and families in a variety of settings and populations, e.g. children, families, veterans, counseling agencies, community mental health centers, hospitals, schools, state and public agencies, family services, etc. Clinical social work jobs are in high demand and projected to grow approximately 16% by 2026 (Bureau of Labor Statistics) and typically have better economic outcomes for social work practitioners. Clinical social work practice is highly specialized and requires licensure with criteria specific to each state.
Eligibility Options:
The Certificate in Clinical Social Work follows UK's tuition and fee schedule and registration deadlines. Please note that federal financial aid is not available for certificate programs, but other financial resources may be available on the Financial Aid page. Students in the MSW program are also invited to apply to scholarships in the College of Social Work.
