Kentucky: Academic-Community Partnership uses Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to Evaluate Standardized Processes for Preventive Care

An academic-community partnership engaged a team from the University of Kentucky College of Public Health in deploying, then analyzing the impact of, the proactive office encounter (POE) model in the White House Clinics(WHC), a multisite federally qualified health center in rural Appalachian Kentucky.

New Data Brief on Colorectal Cancer Screening Practices in FQHCs

As part of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN), ACCESS team members are part of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) workgroup. The workgroup conducted a survey of FQHCs in eight states about the colorectal cancer screening interventions they are using in their clinics, and how they are being implemented. The survey findings have been published via a data brief, which is provided below.

New Data Brief on Tobacco/Lung Cancer Screening in FQHCs

As part of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN), ACCESS team members serve on the Tobacco/Lung Cancer Screening workgroup. The workgroup conducted a national survey of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) regarding their tobacco cessation and lung cancer screening methods. The survey findings have been published via a data brief, which is provided below.

Proactive Office Encounter listed on the Rural Health Information Hub website

ACCESS and the Proactive Office Encounter (POE) are now a featured under the "model and innovations" database on the Rural Health Information Hub (RHIhub) website. RHIhub serves a national information center for rural health issues in the United States, and is funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy.
