UK Wildcat Pulling Team wins ASABE International Quarter Scale Tractor Design Competition

Congratulations to the Wildcat Pulling Team on another outstanding effort at the ASABE International Quarter Scale Tractor Design Competition! Department Chair Dr. Sue Nokes had never attended the competition until this year. She picked a good year to go to Peoria for the first time as she was able to witness a dominating performance by the UK Wildcat Pulling Team, which won the overall championship for the second straight year. 

Crofcheck promoted to Professor

Czarena Crofcheck, Ph.D., P.E., has been recommended for promotion from Associate Professor to Professor, pending approval of the Board of Trustees this summer, Dean Walz announced this month. Crofcheck, the department's director of undergraduate studies, specializes in food and bioprocess engineering. She teaches four classes (a required course, an elective course, and senior design) and advises 30 students, though she has advised as many as 88 in one semester. During her career, she has received numerous awards for teaching and research.

Thirteen students inducted into Alpha Epsilon

Crofcheck receives Outstanding Teacher Award

4-21-2015 Dean Walz has announced the faculty and staff award recipients from Tuesday night's Tau Beta Pi Awards Banquet. BAE Associate Professor Czar Crofcheck, Ph.D., P.E., has received the award for Outstanding Teacher in Biosystems Engineering. The "outstanding" awards are voted on by students. She received the same award in 2014.
