Before coming to the University of Kentucky, Rachel worked at Western Kentucky University as their Employer Relations Specialist. She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Western Kentucky University. While she was an undergraduate, she studied abroad in Greece.
Prior job that shaped her: Before finding her passion in higher education, Rachel had her sights set on being a marriage and family therapist. She started an Employer Relations internship within Western Kentucky’s University Career Center her senior year of college and fell in love with higher education. This role provided influential experiences and a true mentorship that made her realize her strengths and her interests in the employer relations arena of higher education.
How she describes herself: Overly positive, always hopeful, and forever learning to be better and do better in all aspects of life
What she enjoys doing outside of work: Rachel enjoys being active through yoga and cycling classes. She loves to travel to new places, even if it is just a new restaurant in town! Spending time with friends and family is the most important thing to her.
A goal in life: Traveling through Europe is a big-time goal for Rachel.
Fun fact: Rachel traveled to Brazil when she was 15 years old for a church mission trip with her grandfather.
