Create Series: Digital Publishing as an "Alternative" Assignment with CreateUK
502 King Science and Engineering Library
Friday, February 21, 2020 - 12:15pm
Event concludes at 1:15.
Have you ever wanted to involve students in the creation or curation of web-based resources? Would you like to host scholarship, information, media, or other artifacts related to your research and/or teaching? Do you want to explore how your own website, hosted by UK, might enhance your teaching, research, and digital portfolio?
UK Libraries is rolling out a multi-year pilot of CreateUK, a web hosting service that integrates with common platforms like Wordpress and Omeka. This could be ideal for the creation of public-facing resources as an assessment of student learning, as well as engaging students in team-based and project-based learning with concrete audiences and purposes in mind.
Join us for this lunch session, hosted by UK Libraries and CELT, to learn about CreateUK and how it can bolster students' learning (and your experience of teaching) across the disciplines.
Click here to register! We'll provide lunch for participants, so registration is encouraged if you plan on attending. Lunch will be served at 12:15, and the presentation will begin at 12:30.
