The Lecture isn’t Dead: Why and How We Should Keep Lecturing
502 King Science Library/CELT
Tuesday, February 12, 2019 - 3:00pm
The lecture, it seems, is falling out of favor. Right and left, we hear encouragement to embrace more active and collaborative forms of learning. However, lecturing may still be the typical teaching format in our fields, and many of us can probably recall lecturers we loved when we were students. This workshop will take a lecture-based approach to model and explain how lectures still can engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
So, if you have wanted to attend a CELT event but were worried you would have to participate, then this one is for you. Come, sit, and listen to a lecture on lecturing.
