Teaching with Open and Alternative Resources for Graduate Instructors
WT Young Library Room 1-78
Thursday, April 5, 2018 - 3:30pm
Event concludes at 4:30.
While there is a clear consensus that students are increasingly burdened with rising textbook costs (among other rising college costs) and that instructors share common difficulties working with traditional textbooks, it can be difficult to locate, adapt, and combine open resources into a quality set for students, and to shift the course design and pedagogy to align with these new resources.
Participants are encouraged to bring up their concerns, questions, and aspirations during the workshop, especially as they relate to the graduate instructor perspective. We will take some time to explore the alternative resource database maintained by WT Young Library.
