Assembling a teaching portfolio—with elements such as a teaching statement, examples of syllabi and assignments, summative and selective analyses of student feedback, peer observational records, and other evidence of innovative, effective, and impactful teaching—is an excellent way of providing evidence of overall instructional practice so that teaching performance is represented and evaluated with nuance. It is also an excellent way to engage in reflective practice regarding your teaching. This workshop will cover how to write a teaching philosophy statement, what to include in a portfolio, and how to create a digital portfolio.
