Pabian to Officially Join ACAPT Board

Patrick S. Pabian, PT, DPT, PhD, and department chair and professor in the University of Kentucky Physical Therapy department, will be sworn on to the board of directors for the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) at the Physical Therapy Education Leadership Conference Oct. 28-30.

Pabian, who was elected to the Board this summer, will join eight other members, who represent more than 260 institutions across the country that offer Physical Therapy. ACAPT, which holds its annual business meeting with its membership at the Education Leadership Conference this week in Milwaukee, aims to lead physical therapy in the pursuit of academic excellence.

“I am truly honored and humbled to be placed in this leadership position, alongside the excellent academic leaders within the Board and among those within the comprehensive ACAPT membership,” he said.

Pabian will have a full conference schedule, which includes a pre-conference session, and four additional presentations along with the ACAPT board meetings.
