Department of Clinical Sciences

Led by Phyllis Nash, MSW, EdD, LCSW, the Department of Clinical Sciences trains healthcare professionals and improves the health of Kentuckians through innovative teaching strategies both on the Lexington campus and in all parts of the state.  

The department has a long tradition of offering opportunities to participate in distance learning programs across the state as well as international training opportunities. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs and trains entry-level healthcare professionals like medical physicists and clinical lab scientists. The department also trains people who return to school to achieve the most advanced skills in the areas of Clinical Leadership and Management and graduate work in several other areas.

The department facilitates the work of providing basic health profession training in five divisions:

Reproductive Sciences is not currently accepting students. 


The Division of Health Sciences, Education, and Research is comprised of the Clinical Leadership and Management and Human Health Sciences Programs.
