Research interests:  The effectiveness of using communication-centered intervention to facilitate phonological learning in young children

Richard Dressler, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, Western Kentucky University
Research interests: Dr. Dressler has published articles related to conversational coding systems, sound disorders associated with aphasia, acoustic measures of spasmodic dysphonia, conversational repairs in speakers with aphasia, and dehydration in nursing home patients. He has also conducted cooperative research with the brain injury unit at the Fr. Campbell Army Base. Dr. Dressler is also interested in exploring the use of video-conferencing technology to connect individuals in rural areas with local support groups, and for offering remote service delivery of speech services to rural patients.
