The upcoming Training in Grantsmanship for Rehabilitation Research (TIGRR) workshop January 12-16, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina builds upon the successful model used by the Enhancing Rehabilitation Research in the South (ERRIS) workshops that resulted in many junior investigators receiving, for example, NIH, NIDRR (now NIDILRR) and VA level research and career development funding.
Robert C. Marshall, Ph.D. and Joseph C. Stemple, Ph.D., professors in Communication Sciences and Disorders will be receiving Honors of the Association at the annual convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in Denver in November. This award is the highest award given by this professional organization. It is a public recognition of the recipient’s distinguished contributions to the field of speech, language and hearing over the course of their career that have enhanced or altered the course of the profession.
Congrats to RHB students Aaron Sciascia and NAtalie Myers on their publication in the Journal of Athletic Training.

Susan Effgen, PT, PhD, FAPTA, had three presentations on her PT COUNTS research study at the World Confederation for Physical Therapy Congress in Singapore. Also presenting their dissertation findings in Singapore were recent Rehabilitation Sciences Doctoral graduates, Megan Danzl, PT, PhD, and Matt Day, PT, PhD.
The University of Kentucky was well represented at ICRS in Chicago.
