Shoulder to Shoulder Global
UK’s Shoulder to Shoulder Global sends health brigades several times a year to an underserved area of Ecuador. The brigades are made up of students, faculty, and staff from the health care colleges, as well as local community volunteers. Participating students earn academic credit.

CHS Education Abroad Travel Grants Available for Students
All College of Health Sciences students who complete a CHS academic major or professional program-approved, health related education abroad experience for academic credit are eligible for a $500 College of Health Sciences Student Education Abroad Travel Grant.
The education abroad experience must be part of a CHS course, pre-approved by the student's program, and at least 7 days in duration (including direct travel). Students seeking the grant must follow established timelines and procedures for approval by their professional program and complete the application process required by both the CHS Office of Student Affairs and Education Abroad at UK. To receive the grant, students must complete the attached CHS Education Abroad Travel Grant Reimbursement Request and submit it to the Office of Student Affairs along with original receipts for at least $500. Submissions must be received within 30 days of completing the education abroad experience. Students receiving grants remain eligible for additional scholarships and awards through UK Education Abroad and other agencies.
