Shoulder to Shoulder Global
UK’s Shoulder to Shoulder Global sends health brigades several times a year to an underserved area of Ecuador. The brigades are made up of students, faculty, and staff from the health care colleges, as well as local community volunteers. Participating students earn academic credit.

Cultural Competence in Healthcare in Costa Rica

All College of Health Sciences students who complete a CHS academic major or professional program-approved, health related education abroad experience for academic credit are eligible for a $500 College of Health Sciences Student Education Abroad Travel Grant.
The education abroad experience must be part of a CHS course, pre-approved by the student's program, and at least 7 days in duration (including direct travel).
