Part of the great experience, I have been told, of attending classes in the College of Health Sciences, revolves around the opportunities our students have — to research, to publish and to gain real-world academic skills.

Travis Thomas, PhD, RDN, CSSD, FAND, associate professor in the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition, received the 2020 SCAN Achievement Award. SCAN is the largest dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and works to build a world where people perform to their potential powered by nutrition and physical activity.
