Karelia Cervantes is a senior Human Health Science student in the Pre-Physical Therapy track. She grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and decided on University of Kentucky for undergraduate school because she wanted to experience the southern charm! Human Health Sciences quickly became a home away from home! This program has increased her understanding on the various health care fields through one-on-one experiences working and volunteering in the hospital setting. This is her second year being a College
of Health Sciences ambassador. She loves interacting with prospective students to guide them along their path to finding their home away from home. CHS and the ambassador team has opened many doors for me including attending the Shoulder to Shoulder Brigade in Ecuador and becoming a Spanish interpreter at Samaritan’s Touch. Being part of this college has been the best decision she has ever made! Feel free to reach out to her with any questions!
