The UK Clinical Leadership and Management Bachelor of Health Sciences degree lays the groundwork for graduates to pursue careers and advanced education as competent, evidence-informed, effective leaders and reflective life-long learners prepared to engage in interprofessional healthcare management practice. Graduates develop fundamental knowledge, values, and skills to lead with cultural humility and promote compassionate, efficient, responsive services to improve healthcare outcomes, the patient experience, access to healthcare, and quality of life for people in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and beyond.
The CLM program offers a Track A and Track B option. Please note the differences in the Track options:
Track A: Admission requirements for the CLM program Track A includes either 2 years work experience in a healthcare setting or an Associate Degree in a health care discipline and one year work experience in a health care setting. For Track A students an application package, official school transcripts, and three letters of recommendation must be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs. (See the forms listed to the right). Once completed, ALL forms are to be mailed to the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions in ONE PACKET. Note: These forms cannot be submitted electronically. Track B students can enter at the freshman level when applying to the University.
Track B: Admissions for the CLM program Track B is best suited for incoming 1st year college students.
Admission into the Clinical Leadership and Management program is holistic in nature. CLM seeks applicants who are interested in leadership and administrative roles in the health care industry. Consideration is given to academic rigor and achievement, leadership and community involvement, health care focus and experience, and cultural understanding and experiences.
Admission into CLM – Track B is contingent upon an application review process and a one-day College of Health Sciences Showcase Day in which you will meet faculty, staff and current CHS students as well as learn about your new college.
Track B Applicants: Attendance at a CHS Showcase Day is mandatory as part of your admittance into the CLM program.
