What careers or educational options can I pursue with an Athletic Training degree?
Athletic Training (AT) graduates are employed in University settings, High School/ Sport Medicine clinics, Professional Sports or pursue post-professional opportunities including residencies and academic doctorates.

About the Program
The AT Program accommodates both Board of Certification (BOC) certified athletic trainers and Board of Certification (BOC) “certification eligible” athletic trainers. The AT Program is a collaboration of the UK College of Health Sciences, UK Athletics, and UK Sports Medicine. Graduate assistantships are available on a competitive basis. Funding for the assistantships is provided through UK Athletics, local sports medicine clinics, and high schools.

The mission of the Division of Athletic Training is to provide course work and clinical experiences that are designed to develop skills necessary to conduct research and increase proficiency in sports injury prevention, education, and rehabilitation.  It is a goal that graduates become: critical consumers of research and accepted clinical practices, advanced health care providers, and leaders in the clinical, educational, and research endeavors of the profession.
