Dr. Tim Hewett Joins The Faculty of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences

At the March 9th, 2010 Board of Trustees meeting, The Board approved the appointment of Dr. Tim Hewett as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.

As many of you know Dr. Hewett has attained international prominence in orthopaedic research and academic sports medicine.   He has continued to seek and obtain funding at the NIH for his world-leading research on ACL prevention through neuromuscular training. He is considered one of two world authorities on ACL prevention and is a highly sought after speaker nationally and internationally

He has won numerous awards in research including the Excellence in Research Award, and O’Donoghue Awards from the AOSSM, The Rose Excellence in Research Award and the Young Investigator Award from the AHA.  He has recently been named the Visiting Scholar of the ACL Study Group.

Dr. Hewett is currently funding Dai Sugimoto with a full Doctoral Fellowship.
