Dr. Nash completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Kentucky. She earned her master’s degree in Social Work and her doctorate degree in Educational Psychology/Communication at West Virginia University.
Her first academic appointment was in the West Virginia University College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. In 1987, she accepted a faculty appointment in the UK College of Medicine Department of Behavioral Science. She served as the Medical Center’s Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs for over 10 years. She was the Chief of Staff to the President of UK for a short period, and for five years was the Project Director for the effort to replace all of the University’s information systems (student, financial, human resources, and physical plant). In 2012, she joined the College of Health Sciences as Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and in 2014 assumed the role of Interim Chair of the College’s Department of Clinical Sciences.
Her academic interests include communication in the educational and health care environments and improving instruction and learning.
