CARAT-TOP Intergenerational Service-Learning Program
Kings Daughters and Sons Foundation of Kentucky Incorporated   
The Toys with a Purpose lending library will support child development and promote learning through play for children with disabilities by providing free access to adapted toys. This program brings together students, with and without disabilities, from local high schools in Perry County to adapt toys, prototype new parts, develop accessible learning materials, and develop strategies for engaging community stakeholders to promote and grow this new program.

This project develops an integrated community-engaged approach to expand capacity of the existing Project CARAT service-learning program at the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health; specifically 1) increase the capacity to provide refurbished durable medical equipment/assistive technology to the region, 2) provide a service opportunity to more effectively engage the community, and 3) engage local high school students to be change agents within their community.

Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry Campaign
This innovative, community-based project features the weekly delivery for five months of fresh and healthy foods, nutrition education and activities to 25 households with children less than 5 years old living in public housing who identify as food insecure using the USDA's US Household Food Security Survey Module.
