Community of Concern Team

Other members of the UK community may be asked to attend a meeting when an individual from their class or work area(s) is discussed .

Community of Concern Team Process

The CoC Team meets weekly during the fall and spring semesters and as needed at other times of the year. The team reviews the submitted alerts, discusses and determines appropriate outreach/intervention. Referrals are then made to the appropriate department or agency. The CoC Director provides liaison and follow-up as needed and maintains documentation of alert submissions, outreach, and referrals.

The Alert system and CoC process is not meant to replace individual interventions by faculty, staff and/or supervisors. The CoC process should be used if other direct methods have been tried and found unsuccessful!
