Welcome to the University of Kentucky Counseling Center: Consultation and Psychological Services (UKCC). The UKCC offers education, confidential consultation, and brief therapy to currently enrolled UK students. Consultation services are also available to UK faculty and staff, and family, friends, and caregivers of students.

We know that university life can be demanding. Balancing academics, work, athletics, finances, family, health, and social life can be stressful. We also know that many students face oppression and discrimination that impact their mental health, interpersonal relationships, and academic progress. Staff at the UKCC strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all UK students to promote exploration of any personal problems or concerns.

Developing and maintaining well-being in life often requires learning and applying new skills. The UKCC offers many services to help students be successful in college and life. Many services for improving stress management and personal well-being are drop-in and do not require an appointment. For example, the Relaxation Room, Wildcat Wellness Workshops, and Let's Talk. We also offer group therapy and brief therapy for individuals and couples. Students in need of longer-term care will be assisted in connecting with community providers.

We are here to help.

You may contact the Counseling Center during the business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at:
